Minimal looks with a kitsch twist are the epitome of quirky cool. Some of my favorite it-girls (see SZA, Sophia Amoruso of NastyGal/Girl Boss, and Leandra Medine of Man Repeller) have found their footing in this stylistic niche. In the past, I struggled to balance my love for luxe with my need to blend in.
Nothing says classic chic more than an all black outfit, am I right? These floral print Topshop boots paired with a vintage slip, acting as a sort of stand-in for a long blouse, lends a note of eccentricity. Of course, we can't forget the blue hair and bold lip. This outfit makes me feel like all is right in the world.
